MOOC - Massive Open Online Course - for FIT

This bachelor thesis describes relatively new educational trend - Massive open online course. It is focused on its overall development and evaluation. There are introduced web platforms, which are providing these courses. These platforms are closely specified and there are gathered knowledge about them for use in the rest of this work. Following parts of thesis are focused on design and realization of a tool for collaborative studying in a real-time. This is an experiment to determine, if this concept of education is possible and what means aresuitable for use.
Possibilities of educational MOOC courses

The diploma thesis explores the possibilities of MOOC online courses and their implementation for ČSN EN 1591-4 standard. Firstly, Czech and global providers of MOOCs are discussed and compared. There are over 220 million MOOC active users globally. Then, the content of a course regarding the ČSN EN 1591-4 standard is created. This standard defines the necessary knowledge that mechanicians must acquire to install flange joints in critical applications. In the experiment, the importance of lubricating the fastener is pointed out. The outcome of the thesis is ten videos in Czech and in English that cover the courses' content and the experiment. The author entered a discussion with a Dutch Engineering Trainer platform which expressed interest in the ČSN EN 1591-4 course. In the end, the possibilities of course commercialization, fees, and profit are explored. There are several MOOC platforms open to publishing a course. Nevertheless, it is not possible to post the same course on two platforms simultaneously.
Youtubering in education

This thesis focuses on issues of videos in teaching. Specifically, educational videos on the YouTube server and their directly use in teaching or a supplement to teaching. The main goal of this work is to create several educational videos which are focused on the visual programming language "Scratch". The primary school students were the target group for these videos and the final videos have been adapted for them. I focused on studying literature and an analysis of already created audio-visual materials which are related to this issue; according to it will be proceed with the creation of content. Within the thesis the feedback will be collected by the questionnaire and then will be analysed for the created videos.

MOOC in corporate training

The final thesis MOOC in corporate training analyzes the possibilities which companies have when they wish to implement MOOC in their corporate training. Author has analysed training strategies of four selected companies and suggested action steps for them to take to leverage current possibilities.
Aspects of the virtualization of higher education and its comparison in the CZ and US

The topic of this thesis is the evolution of online higher education in the CZ and US, from its beginnings to its current state. Emphasis is placed on describing MOOCs and virtualization in education, ranging from technological, pedagogical and didactic aspects to legislature and finance. A survey was conducted to determine the interest in online courses at the University of Economics, Prague and experience with online learning, resulting in an outline of the future development in this area.

The Economical Aspects of MOOC. Bachelors thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2015. The bachelors thesis deals with the world phenomenon of online education in recent years. Called Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and Small Private Online Courses (SPOCS), and strategies for the implementation of these courses at the Faculty of Business and Economics at Mendel University in Brno, with regard to economic aspects. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part focuses on notions MOOC and SPOC and includes additional infor-mation on these courses. In the practical part, there are proposed and discussed strategies for the involvement of the Faculty of Business and Economics to MOOC and SPOC.
